Have you ever ugly cried not because you are upset, sad, or hungry, but because you are so overwhelmed with all the good and wonderful things happening in your life?

I ugly cried last week.

As I was on my way home from a two-day Faith Driven Entrepreneur and Investor Conference, I realized how God has been gracious to me all this time.

Here's my experience summary which I also shared last Sunday on my #BeyondStocks email newsletter:

📌 I met amazing and humble entrepreneurs who are not only doing ethical businesses (aka the 'you win, I win' types), but also doing redemptive types where they love and serve (aka I sacrifice, we win).

📌 I listened, took down notes, participated in the Kahoot game, and won 6 signed books of Boni de Jesus. I gave away 3, one of which, I’m keeping for myself, and the other two…. I plan to do a giveaway on my next vlog! (Comment "𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮" if you like this idea)
✏ The title of the book is “Freedom to Create Wealth.”

📌 There's a difference between Work & Rest vs Toil & Leisure.
Mayroong joy sa work, and when you rest you contemplate on your fruitful work. While toil is tiring, and leisure is distracting yourself from that toil.
I've been on both ends.

📌 On investing. Have you ever asked yourself: How do I feel about investing?
o We usually answer the question, “Why are we investing,” right? But if you ask what do you feel about investing, the common answer is fear and uncertainty, especially now.
o Whereas, impact investing is when you know what your investments are doing, and you have joy and freedom.
📌 On the last bullet, I realized that is true. This one investment I am holding is helping the underprivileged, unbanked and uneducated. While that portfolio is down quite a lot, I have joy and freedom seeing that children are starting to get equal opportunities.

I know I said that this is #BeyondStocks but I still talked about investments. I just had so much to think about these past few days kaya siguro I just ugly cried na lang kasi I was so overwhelmed.
